At our end-of-year party, we looked back together on an eventful and successful 2025. The party was a wonderful opportunity to say thank you – for the commitment, ideas and daily dedication of our employees.

There was a particular focus on the highlights of the past year. These included exciting projects such as our participation in DesignWeek, the further development of the made-to-measure curtain configurator and the successful launch of our new website. These milestones are examples of the innovative strength and strong team spirit that characterise our company.

We also honoured our long-serving employees and recognised their many years of loyalty to the company. Good food, the traditional trainee programme and many personal conversations in a relaxed atmosphere ensured a successful conclusion to the event.

We look back with pleasure on a thoroughly successful end-of-year party and would like to thank everyone who contributed to this special evening.

A particular highlight is our curtain studio, the hybrid solution for retailers. The integrated made-to-measure curtain configurator allows end customers to pick up their desired fabric directly from a sample rack in the furniture store, compare it and then configure their made-to-measure curtains. Trade fair visitors were able to see live how a perfectly coordinated, tailor-made window decoration can be created in just three steps.

On 1 September 2025, eleven new trainees joined us in various departments. We extend a warm welcome to them and look forward to their fresh ideas, curiosity and team spirit.

We place particular emphasis on the rotation principle: Our trainees rotate through all relevant departments and areas within the company. This enables them to gain a comprehensive understanding of our processes, discover their strengths and develop a broad understanding of our business – from central functions to operational teams.

On 9 September 2025, we were delighted to welcome Dr Nicole Hoffmeister-Kraut, Minister for Economic Affairs of the State of Baden-Württemberg, Thomas Dörflinger, Member of the State Parliament, and representatives from the CDU, the District Office and the town of Biberach to our company.

The focus was on insights into our company’s history spanning over 140 years, our ongoing development, and Gerster’s current business areas – ranging from innovative technical textiles for high-tech industries to our long-established retail business in home textiles. Of particular value was the discussion on the current economic situation, the importance of innovation and digitalisation, international competitiveness, and the role of small and medium-sized enterprises in Baden-Württemberg.

In the specialist trade survey “Deco + fabrics 2025,” our team was awarded first place in the two most important categories—product quality and value for money. This means we achieved the top position in the survey's key disciplines.

We are once again among the best providers in the overall results: with an average score of 2.12 across 14 individual categories, we were able to confirm our strong performance from the previous year.
